Holly Rose Emery wears the pieces I regret making from SS26

The pieces:

The peignoir in aqua: this style barely made it to production when we were told all the fabric was gone when we went to place the final order. I ended up heading to Greenfields myself to rummage through rolls and rolls of fabric and triumphantly emerged with one tiny roll I found at the very bottom of the very back of the shop. Something of a miracle and meant this became a very tiny production run.
The apple drop waist skirt: as mentioned above this one had disaster after disaster; starting with a similar out of stock fabric issue and ending with me screenprinting in the studio for 5 days straight. It has an allure though and I'm glad we brought her to fruition.
The bullet bra: we are actively working on putting this piece into production. If so it will be a tiny drop but it's hard to resist those lovely points. The bullet bras are made from the circles we remove from the logo removal baby tees; a true recycled piece, but also fiddly and the final result which we make in house has a definite diy feel to it. But I am starting to think maybe that's not such a bad thing.

4. The holy smock dress: another of these styles that against my better judgement I put into production; it uses lots and lots of fabric and also has complex details like pin tucks, frills, fully lined holes and trim. I think we've only sold one and so has SHEEP our stockist in Harajuku. Seeing it on Holly though I'm glad a small number of these exist.

5. The apron frill mini: one of the few styles from SS26 that didn't make it to production. I love this dress; the silk chiffon and the way it falls but when you are thinking commercially you have to be realistic about what people actually want in their wardrobe. To be honest though seeing it here makes me question the decision; okay it's sheer and needs to be perfectly layered and would be extortionately expensive in the silk fabric we proposed but it also feels like a perfect flippy summer party dress you could wear from the beach to dinner. Oh well…
